I joined Underwood Park CrossFit because I lacked the motivation and experience to exercise in this busy phase of life with small children. I realized very quickly that my quality of life was diminishing due to low energy and feeling generally lazy outside of work. Underwood Park CrossFit has been encouraging through the community, coaching expertise, and fun workouts. I see my stamina increasing every week, as well as my leg strength. At home, I actually have energy after work to run around and play with my kids. That is priceless!
I fricking love this place! The people, the atmosphere, I feel privileged to be a part of this community. I joined UPCF January 2017 after a series of injuries and set backs left me feeling out of shape and uncomfortable in my body. Mountain biking is a huge part of my life, we were planning a big trip to Utah for the fall and I was desperate to get back in shape and be able to enjoy 8 days of hard riding. I was skeptical at first and my first workout certainly humbled me, but I was sold after the first week. Everyone in each class was in a different part of their fitness journey, scaling in different ways, and it was all okay. There was no competition and everyone was supportive and cheered for each little victory. The coaches and other members push you to be better in the best possible way.
I joined Underwood Park CrossFit because I wanted to start working towards a healthier weight and to improve my cardio and overall strength performance. In 9 weeks, I dropped 24 pounds! I feel much healthier and have a noticeably increased energy level.
