Where Is All This Headed?

Look, we obviously think that CrossFit is awesome. And we love good nutrition. And there’s all kinds of fun specialty training that we get to do in small groups and one-on-one. But you want to know something? Our love of those things is not why we’re in business.

We don’t get to the gym in the dark of the early morning and leave in the dark of the late evening and lift and sweat and teach and coach just because fitness and nutrition are fun (though we definitely think they are), or because we think your body needs to become a specific thing.

We do it all because of what those things do to your mind. What gets us out of bed in the morning is knowing that today, someone is going to do something they’ve never done in their entire lives; they’re going to be successful at it, and they’re going to get a boost of confidence that will make them see, maybe for the first time, that they can do hard things. Someone else is going to do a hard workout and conquer the discomfort and the urge to quit, and that’s going to give them the fortitude to have that tough conversation with their mom that they’ve put off for months. Someone else is going to come through something physically painful and then realize that their ability to survive physical pain means that they’ll make it through the emotional pain of losing their job.

Fitness and nutrition are awesome because they’re fun and they make you healthier, which means they make it so you can do more stuff in the physical body you have. But we use those tools of fitness and nutrition because ultimately they’re a means to an end. There are car accidents and injuries and aging and all kinds of things out of our control that can diminish what our bodies can do. But what you discover on this journey in your mind, in your soul? …that’s forever. What you learn about yourself and who you are and what you’re capable of? That’s yours for the rest of your life.

Our vision is to measurably improve the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health of our tri-county area. We do that through fitness and nutrition coaching, through building a community of welcome, love, and accountability, and through encouraging growth.

But the end goal here is exactly one thing: to make the world a better place by making healthy people inside and out.
