Yesterday was Thanksgiving. I ate way more calories, less protein, less fiber, and less fresh produce than usual. I certainly didn’t track any macronutrients. I drank more alcohol than usual. I did not go to the gym.
Your day might have been similar.
Today, all over the USA, people who’ve worked so hard on their health and fitness this year are now wondering how on earth, after a day like yesterday (and after more holidays to come), they are going to get back on track.
Got your notepad ready? Bookmarked the page so you can come back to it? Ready for screenshots?
Here’s the formula:
Go eat a vegetable.
OR
Take a walk.
OR
Do one workout.
OR
Get a good night’s sleep tonight.
OR
Drink a glass of water.
OR
Stretch for 5 minutes.
Because here’s the thing. No matter how “off track” you got, or how long it’s been, or how much you’ve “let yourself go,” the only way you can fail at this stuff is if you completely give up forever.
You are never, ever, ever more than one action away from being back on the path.
