Bare Minimum Mondays – 07/14/2025

Move
Do 10 calf raises while waiting for your morning coffee. Calf raises improve balance, stability, and leg strength. Do them on one leg if they’re too easy.

Eat
Add a source of high quality fat (olive oil, nuts, avocado) to one meal. It’s easy to get into the weeds here, but it seems to be the case that monounsaturated fats support feelings of fullness and cardiovascular health.

Sleep
Wind down with light reading (in print, not on a screen) before bed. Caveat: a page-burning thriller is probably not a good option here.

Manage
List three things you’re grateful for before sleeping. Gratitude journaling boosts well‑being and lowers stress. There’s a reason why nearly every religious and philosophy practice includes some form of gratitude.
